Max MSP On-Line

  • For a project at uni I'm looking to put a music randomizer type patch on to a website.
I should make it clear that I don't want a download of my patch, I want it to stream direct in a browser.

I've been looking around to see if there's any way of doing this with Max, but as far as I can tell Max doesn't have the capability to run on a server for multiple users, unless you put something on the front end.

I've come across 'flashserver' and 'flashosc', but these are not really supported any more?
Plus, my patch isn't going to be anything too intensive, so if I'm going to have to learn a bit of flash to make a front-end I may as well just do the whole thing in flash and save myself the headache..

Does anybody know of a way to embed a max patch in a website?
Are there any other options apart from flash?
    Any other thoughts?

    Cheers guys :)

But I imagine you could build a client-side interface in Javascript, and then there must be a PHP or SSJS external to bridge the gap into max/msp?

Quick search result, might prove helpful:
