• non-monome app here that i finished today, but could easily be controlled by monome if you desired.

application uses waveform with drunk and metro to trigger tempo-based random slices in a continuous manner from a single sample that you load into it. pretty nice to just find a setting you like with it and then just leave it playing, and it will continue to morph into new patterns. demo video here: http://vimeo.com/26281834

application will be online later today.

  • looks like fun! how does it perform with longer samples and bigger slices?

  • it seems to work fine in my testing. i set up the parameters so they all start at zero when the app opens, and it's up to the user to decide what settings give the desired effect.

i tried it with a 3.5 minute long song here: http://uprlip.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/190-drunk.mp3

also, there's a crop sample function in the app if the sample used is longer than desired, but... that's a destructive edit crop, so.... yeah, anyways... you'll see.

  • looking forward to it lots!
