feed the output of zl rot back into itself?

  • so i have a bunch of fixed numbers that i want to rotate with [zl rot], and I want to use the output of [zl rot] the next time i want the list rotated, rather than the original list.

is there an elegant way to do this?

i've a feeling i need to use [t] somehow, but i couldn't figure out how to do it last night...

  • im not 100% sure what you want but you can use [zl reg] to store the rotated list and then bang it out when you require it to be rotated it again?

  • zl reg eh? cool, will have a look.

  • ah ha. yes. that's the ticket.

  • in fact, you don't even need [zl reg], you can just put the output through a [t l] and then send that back to the input of [zl rot].

there really is no point patching late at night when your eyes are closing...

  • ah yes a [t l] and message box works as well. i just have something against them...dont know why though ha

  • trigger? or message box?

i'm slowly coming to realize that trigger is a seriously important object.

  • the message box, lacks elegant imo. trigger object is godlike!

haven't actually managed to use the shruti (or any music gear for that matter) much. so busy with uni :( the little fiddle i have had was lots of fun. the editor didn't seem to run on my mac but i'll give that another go sometime. seems like it might be very useful for bass sounds!

  • :)

i do fret about my clunky patches sometimes.

  • Pussy!

this was a really braindead thread on my part though...i blame monday morning.
