@emergencyofstate - the patch isn't tracking live... yet! in the video i'm just trying to follow the animation and be on time with what the program is displaying. perhaps in the future i can track objects and trigger notes in realtime. or then build objects which can send out signals in various ways with little or no latency...

you had me fooled! - thought you were using jit.chromakey to track the green balls, you might need something like the cv.jit library to pointilize each of them. I bet you could have kept us all going for a long time thinking it was live tracking.
mind-blowing either way, sweet work. you've re-inspired me to try to find a way a way to involve the kinect in a monome app. somehow... -
