Come on guys! The rest of us are sitting around waiting to hear and see this thing in action!
@gli has kindly put a first one up here: https://soundcloud.com/glia/lephti
...but I am dying for more. Bring it on! -
:) We're still learning the tutorials. soon.
-
trent and i plan on making much video very soon, sorry for the delay!
-
@kotdotnot posted this excellent demo with his vcovcf scene: https://soundcloud.com/akrylik/aleph-waves-demo
i'll post more aleph a/v soon (when i finish the tutorials)
what little time i had last week was spent on acoustic practice -
redacted
-
edited. more will come later
-
How about a clear acrylic overlay for writing little notes on the aleph! :-)
It's little things like this that make me so grateful for minimalist design. -
brave souls
i use sharpies/paint markers/stickers on a lot of my gear as reminders (& decoration)
will not be touching this tho -
@kotdotnet Very cool; I'll definitely be using this.
-
Ha. @citizen "Original Dub Master"

Interesting! Is that waves?
-
@blungo "bells" into two external synths
one for the audio, the other translates cv into visuals -
Sounds good! Thanks!
What synth for the audio? -
@gli, could we get a link for the ipad users? :(
-
@blungo http://jmtsynth.sakura.ne.jp/newpage24.htm
and @dadek vimeo.com/85210875 should work (it works on mine) -
cool, dig the visuals.
-
Beautiful, thanks!
-
-
@gli nice! very cool + dig the colors.

This is my first thing on soundcloud. It's Grendel Drone Commander plus some software-defined radio (I think a pager frequency) into aleph/dubs/lines. -
@bens very nice

@gli
WAY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Here's an aleph experiment. (crazy delay mangling) I started with the "space" scene and modified it into "spade". I plan on fine tuning it and sharing it with the community soon.

Sounds great! So it's guitar DI to the aleph?
-
@blungo2: Thanks! Yep, its an Airline guitar direct into the aleph with its line outs 1+2 into a UA Apollo. No additional processing/plugs. Should be a pretty pure example of the aleph's sound.
-
@eos *tips hat*
-
@emergencyofstate lovely track, thanks for posting!
-
Thanks guys for the kind words! I'm going to keep some coming. I did some performance type experiments tonight w/ the iPad running PPG Wave into the aleph running Lines specifically the 'space' scene.

@gli really digging your KESAN track!

This isn't much really, just a quick vocal test with skitter.

Learning to use the SCREEN op for visual feedback of a sequencer. Very Fun! -
@c1t1zen: awesome!
-
@gli KESAN is beautiful. good work - and I'm loving the general unquantized non-linearity that seems so inherent in the device. might as well call it the "eno-do-anything-box"
-
here are two small live recorded AV performances with aleph + op1 + jitter
-
nice, is that a custom jitter patch?
-
it is using vizzable - a m4l jitter environment for which I've contributed a few modules
http://vizzable.zeal.co/ -
nice one i'll check it out
-
Great work miketodd! Look forward to more in the future!

A quick fragment made with an acoustic guitar and Aleph:
https://soundcloud.com/toaster-1/acoustic-fragment
and something much more complex. Op1, Aleph, reverb, field recordings:
https://soundcloud.com/toaster-1/ambien-for-frog-disquiet0117 -
nice ones @toaster
-
Dumb question but how do u export your aleph recordings to your computer to upload to soundcloud etc?
Do you save it to the sd card then import it to the CPU? -
You record it in a DAW. Aleph is only recording temporarily if its a looping app.
-
@Toaster, only listened to the second so far, very nice!
-
@tefnick think of the Aleph as a guitar pedal.
