just downloaded the irc client for mac, limechat, and well, I'm looking to join monome on irc, but forgot the irc channel; I tried doing a search for irc channel in the search box, but, no go.

Every time I've periodically connected over the years there has been zero going on there. I'd be happy to participate if there was discussion though. I'll try to make a habit of connecting in the morning...
Just an observation...the channel itself would perhaps be more welcoming if the idle message didn't read:

irc seems to be connecting differently than like Skype or google hangouts, so that's why I'm leaning more towards connecting to irc.
