Record MIDI clip in Live?

    Is it possible to record a MIDI clip from the output of apps like polygome, bounds, 7up, etc. ?

    I can't seem to make it work.

    put your apps on a midi track (1), create another midi track (2) and set (2)'s midi-in to (1).
    Play your app on (1), record into (2).
