For Samplers: National Trust Audio Archive

Somebody's gone to great lengths to record audio from many historic locations in the UK. Its a treasure chest of samples just waiting to be chopped up...

    Freely downloadable, too.

    Cheers!

  • some good samples there. it would be quite funny if they started getting monome tracks in the mail. that music box is so awesome.

i also like the fact that they are encouraging the use of the sounds as ring tones. stand out from the crowd with a creaking staircase tone on your mobile today.

  • nice! thanks for posting this

  • Yeah, we were talking about this last night, I think this would
make a great mcrpv8: architecture edition, all samples recorded from or within public sructures...

  • For discussion - Freely downloadable doesn't mean free to use, bear in mind that these tracks are in fact copyright despite them encouraging ringtone use.

  • true. however, we've seemed to have pushed aside copyright concerns when doing these MCRP's....

  • im not prepared to care about copyright until after someone complains, and the probability of that is always low. Especially when they are in fact encouraging use...
