    Does anyone know of a good freeware browser app/widget or max patch for previewing loops in os x? Something like the browser in Live...

    Have you tried the finder? View a folder in column view (command-3) and use the down arrow to move from file to file, then keep your mouse button over the built-in preview play button to the right.

    Well, I'll be damned! I never use the column view, so it never occurred to me that this function might be a part of the finder. Guess I'll use it now!
