    is there a way to increase the number of groups above six???

    You could get two computers. Or think about it like this; The audio files in each group can be as simple or complex as you wish. Don't be afraid to bounce and combine samples.

    well the only other option really combining them. the problem is you cant treat each sample as intricately

    honestly if you're playing more than 6 samples at once i'm sure some of them are just looping, hence would work fine as cliplaunches in ableton.
