I see Yoko Kanno has been mentioned, but I just loved the SEATBELTS (but that could have had something to do with my love of Cowboy Bebop)
apart from them and Ryuichi Sakamoto I must confess to being ignorant of many Japanese artists, which is why this thread is so wonderful! I love expanding my horizons, thank you friends. -

Ryoji Ikeda and Ryoichi Kurokawa have had a big influence on my own work, especially visually. -
