I di g this idea - a configurable midi PC / CC stomp box that will interface to the musician's software platform-

Personally, I'd like to be able to hook this up to trigger record / play functions especially on very rhythmic parts where taking my hand(s) off the fretboard would ruin the timing. I'd probably use the knobs to set pitch / speed / whatnot.
In theory I could hook up my old lexicon pedalboard, which is very programmable - but takes up significant floor real estate and has an external wallwart that news to be plugged in somewhere. -
While you're playing, that box is reduced to effectively two buttons.
I'd probably try to work with this instead.

(it isn't knobs, but you don't have to move your hands as far from the guitar) -
Absolutely @GTZ. All the button foot-controllers send PC messages - I/we need CC messages!!
I do find it strange though that it is so ugly when all the rest of the Livid line seems so elegant... -
Not all of them.

...but, if you're effectively making a preset change (setting a bunch of CCs all at once without continuous control over them), you can do that in software and use *any* message to trigger it.
