Beautiful hypnotic vibe. Really enjoyed this one. Love to see a track improvised live no DAW. Thanks for sharing!

@Rayce's patch:
-
Very nice guys!
-
@tedjames Cool vid man, only criticism is that I couldn't tell what was happening till 3minutes in..
-
@bkinsman Damn, I'll have to edit that part out.
-
i've been messing about with it with my aleph and modular haven't really gotten into it, i have a fair few clock source modules so have been using it for other duties
-
Cool scary sci fi Vibe @tedjames ! The grid countdown with its varibright effect reminded me of the old Missile Defense video game. Glad you got some use out of the patch.

a couple of "generative" experiments that make heavy use of the aleph:

been awol for a while! back into it now! boom!

prgm app testing loop mode -
thats great @test2 ! can you describe what the scene is doing?
-
@bkinsman it´s 4 mono tracks with one buffer per track, all tracks are looping the buffers going to a 4 channel mixer (up to the left!), in the video I´m changing the loop time on track 2 and 4. It´s also possible to sequence record-mode, start pos, loop time, and so on per step, I'll post here later to show that too :)
-
wow @test2 where/when can we get that?!
-
is this it?
monome.org/docs/aleph:bees:sharing:tracker -
@analogue01 some tweaking left to do on the cv outputs and the ui but it's getting close to first beta :)
@gli yes! -
wah, loving the sound in that video!
so you can record independently into each of the four buffers? (and maybe route each one out different outputs I'm guessing by the way your cables are attached) somehow i thought the tracker app you were making was just synthesis based. -
@duncan_speakman yeah, basically it's 4 mono tracks, each one can output to its cv or audio output per step, the routing is preset in each mode. I will do some more noise synthesis tests later on to see how flexible it can be in terms of synthesis, each mode can also have its own module process frame function, so it should be possible, in the end it's still just a fract32 number ;)
-
great, so i can record into each of the 4 buffers independently? i'm more interested in a 4 channel looper type thing than the synthesis part, but keen to try anything :)
-
@test2 really looking forward to this!
it just dawned on me that this isnt based on BEES (which is a pretty awesome achievement)
dying to try this out asap -
@gli agreed! it looks fantastic
-
yeah, I'm with @gli, didn't realize this thing doesn't utilize bees. that's a first, as far as I can see.
-
@all thanks!!! please try it out, its still an early beta but its coming slowly together step by step
@duncan_speakman I think yes, you can make 4 different recordings, one to each track.
here is the last test before I uploaded the files to the sharing page today!
ps. if you want to give it a test run, see separate thread 'prgm beta' with some more info. -
thanks so much for letting us dive in!
crazy how the mode button cycles thru all the pages...there is really nothing hardwired on this box is there? -
@gli only 'softwire' !
