facebook has sure expanded the idea of what a "friend" is. peopleyouvaguelyknowbook.

Facebook is just a horrible experience at the moment. I kinda have to have g+ and linkedin because of work. Twitter and Instagram are still kinda fun, but I don't feel they're creative spaces at all. I want somewhere to discover cool stuff as well as connect with cool people that I know.... Other than the monome community, of course!

tumblr is great for finding cool stuff.

what are your interests? i've found tons of new a/v artists, muralists, fashion labels, and ceramic/woodworking shops thru IG

ended up dropping facebook, twitter, and tumblr after using instagram for a while...it offers everything i need that email cant quite capture

ello's cool in that it's facebook-and-twitter like while not really being like either of them. i like the whole friend/noise thing and i'm interested to see how they develop their other interactions.

i also like being able to make longer posts.

be careful, similarly to Facebook it is funded by venture capital. it's only a matter of time until they realize that something has to bring in income to keep those servers alive and running.
