-
@RajaTheResidentPoser thanks :) and unfortunately i haven't been in Oakland for a few months since me and my live-in ex separated.. for the last couple years i was living at east 22nd st and 7th ave near the lake but now i've humbled myself and staying with my parents in Pleasanton. it probably IS a little ridiculous we've never gone out for a beer, i'll have to hit you up soon
-
@murray. Really nice to hear it made you groove that way , thank you !
-
@RajaTheResidentPoser hahaha thanks for the thought, not insensitive at all. i'll try to keep the listening on the upbeat (staying away from Earth and bands like Swamp Witch ;) i'll get at you for sure!

a teaser video for my upcoming EP
cheers -
@gli nice to hear it grabbed your attention :)
i wrote a linux monome program that lets me record from any of the 8 inputs of my audio interface and then playback captured sounds to any of its 8 outputs. i initially record a couple acoustic guitar loops on top of each other playing on chan1+2, but after some duration i select the first loop to also output on chan3 (which isn't being monitored). channel 3 is run into one of the buchla's preamplifiers (230e) -> 8-stage resonant filter (291e) -> mixer (206e)->bigsky reverb->back into audio interface for monitoring. also the envelope of that first guitar is sequencing the filter's stage and i've got an oscillator panning the mixer! -
crazy stuff

no monome on this. it was pretty cold, need to get some mittens;

no input feedback patch https://soundcloud.com/glia/badgir
mackie 402 <> bugbrand ptd + the party van
so much fun messing with this -
-
thanks @murray , credit to rodrigo
the 402 acts as one voice when fed into itself...tpv somehow turns that into the "layered" polyphonics you're hearing -
thanks to the monome community for being an awesome source of inspiration over the years.
i put together a little video recently. hope you enjoy it. cheers !

yup it's just ableton clips. i wrote an m4l patch to basically turn the monome into a midi device. i shared an older version some time ago, happy to share the newer if anyone is interested.

Though you can't tell from the video, the patch driving it is being controlled by my Arc2. -
