  • working deltas !
No worries guys, I thought about it and am waiting just like everybody else. Still, that was good news - and mostly my Aleph works perfect again, thanks Brian!

  • working deltas !
it's actually simple, the delta sends -1 or +1. You need to multiply it by the step value you want (nothing to do with the step size of the encoders) and send it to an Accum_inc. Accum_val will give you the proper value in the end. Easy to che…

  • MIDI reset?
I will try and do that as soon as I get some time, so in about two weeks. And yes, the channel gets reset to 0, and the CC number does as well. Thanks for your reply Ezra, hopefully we'll figure it out!

  • Double 8-step sequencer using STEP and Waves
not so difficult rayce: it's all about using presets! The most annoying thing so far is that the knobs values are still hard-wired to Bees, so when you change function you start systematically from where the knob was located right before.

  • Double 8-step sequencer using STEP and Waves
Thanks guys. I am rewriting the scene, and was thinking of making different versions. Say, if you wanted something like this but for your own setup, what would you be looking for? (can't include cv until I get my modular, but it'll come). …

  • what is Galapagoose's scene in that early Aleph video?
he is working with the LIFE object. Then I don't think we can get the sweet stuff he has on screen!

  • Double 8-step sequencer using STEP and Waves
I use it on this video by the way, although you won't see me play:

  • Double 8-step sequencer using STEP and Waves
Thanks c1t1zen. I'll make a more artistic version of this, it can do so much more than what you see on this video you would hardly believe it. Next time no explanation, but some real sound!

  • Double 8-step sequencer using STEP and Waves
I am waiting for my first modular to arrive : ) then I will add cv outputs, for sure... That was the whole idea by the way!

  • MIDI reset?
Ah thanks rayce, good to see I'm not the only one. Still the configuration I got now looks rather solid, but I'll try it this entire week before going live with it for sure - and will let you know. Also I have built a lot of scenes now, mo…

  • MIDI reset?
So I found a kind of solution, but still can't explain it. In the Kurzweil ExpressionMate there is a very nice feature called Midiscope. It'll show Notes, Controllers, System (Real-time & sys-common) and SysEx messages from the Main …

  • MIDI reset?
I will finally add that I cancelled everything else within the controller (Kurzweil Expressionmate), only kept one single button and even unplugged the ribbon itself. I sent a value by pressing the button, the Aleph responded and after 20 seconds or…

  • MIDI reset?
While exploring, I found out that the Aleph doesn't seem to receive 14-bit resolution from MIDI, only 7-bit. It doesn't change anything to my problem, though.

  • Light & heavy operators
Haha well it didn't take so long actually, less than an hour including other tests. When you reach the upper thresholds then nothing special happens, the Aleph simply won't accept any new operator you try to create. I usually would arrive …

  • aleph // deciding data direction (inc/dec) ?
Please don't forget to implement that in the next version, whenever that is: this is way more important than it might seem !!!

  • WAVES ModDel0 & ModDel1
I get it, but then why values going from 0 to 0.9999 ? Should I see it as going from 0 to 9999 samples then?

So I ran into a funny problem: using the GRID with a ROUTE operator, in which the rows will give the "TO" and the columns will give the "VAL", I found out that no matter what you do the columns will come first (because they are p…

Well thanks, glad to hear you enjoy it! I must say I have been pretty amazed at how sweet the Aleph sounds live - I'll send a video tomorrow. Also, I'll test the new version for a while before bringing it out here again, but it seems like …

Thanks a lot for these explanations, I'll sure keep this in mind from now on. Edit - I indeed have made a new test version, topped at 61 operators and can still add 20 simple ones at least. Now I can hopefully go for some extra LFO and those lo…

hmmm I just reached a limit with 71 operators and an ok-working-but-still-messy patch. The Aleph won't take anymore apparently, so I looked at my programmation and it seems I can at least save 12 operators (I'll start by removing most usel…
