  • waiting for DSP init...
had a look in github, default in bees is defined to waves.ldr, the waves module is named as aleph-waves and lines is aleph-lines. if module name and file name need to match, and bees is looking for something called waves.ldr... I spell trouble! :)

  • waiting for DSP init...
one thing that could be worth checking is the module file names, they should be "aleph-lines" + extensions, or there will be trouble.

  • aleph as cv clock - timing issues
an idea, an event operator that would output its own spi message to the bfin, an empty message that calls a module_trig_event function directly, so it would be limited to a specific use at a time, but then it would be possible to have a parameter th…

added it here at the top of the page temporarily: http://monome.org/docs/aleph:bees:sharing:tracker it´s not optimized but meant as a test version, I don´t know how well it will play with existing scenes, but audio is hardwired to output1,2 (audio …

thanks again for explaining things! I'm still a bit confused but better now :) when I load samples over SPI they must be 96k to playback correctly, will have a look at it again, I thought my prgm-module was running at 48k, or maybe it is... and…

I need to add a basic lookup function that is to be used to for controlling level using wavetables, so it only needs one table, phase and pitch/duration, just want to call out if anyone here have any useful examples/links, needs to be in c-code thou…

have something (lines) that compiles, just need to do a basic test with audio/cv, will post if it works on a basic level.

  • aleph as cv clock - timing issues
ah, well the thing with the cv outputs is that only one channel is calculated per frame, so maybe it would be more useful to look at that, I guess you want to be able to use all cv outs, I could try and just modify the module cv calculation a bit to…

  • aleph as cv clock - timing issues
I could try to mess with the metro to have it send a separate trig message, but it would go outside the other operators/the network, it would be a fixed connection: custom metro -> spi -> custom module function -> cv output trig. would that…

  • aleph as cv clock - timing issues
an idea would be to add a separate "empty" SPI message for trig/metro duties only and a separate trig function (needs to be added to each module too) If this is called inside adc polling directly, and if the adc polling is set to 1 it is p…

  • possibility of aleph as sample playback machine
posting a question here from another thread, I don't know if this is the best way to do this but I have found no other way so far... somewhere in the code comments there is mentioned something about the callback speed for parameter changes, tha…

there is an embryo thanks to tremendous help from Ezra answering my many questions, and explaining things in general. https://github.com/electropourlaction/aleph/tree/dev (tag "0.0.7 sampling") the current limitations are speed (edit: 4k…

edited this would be superhelpful! - what is controlling the overall sample rate on the bfin? Is it possible to change samplerate dynamically or is it fixed at startup? - is there a way to remove the custom callback timer once it has been initializ…

minor update (0.0.7) - added sample memory checking (limit is now 128 samples or 32MB) - improved sample loading (4 bytes/ms) - added level control per step for samples and noise - step time now syncs with sample length still a few things left to d…

thanks for the input! it´s been on the list for a long time but I think (this is my current best guess) that is requires quite a deal of knowledge around hardware clocking/interrupts, for a stable, jitter-free clock, and to be honest I don´t know ho…

hej! the sequencer only works with a trig to cv input 1 (there is no internal clock yet!) the next version (0.0.7) will have more "aux modes" (a delay and a filter are ready as of writing, plus more internal routing/feedback options) so it…
