  • attach your grid to an arduino.
@elquinto osc is taken out of the equation here for monome communication.. so there is this library which lets you address and communicate to the hw over serial. and sending midi just requires 3 free digital pins and there are libraries to handle …

I have no background in these custom adaptions, but are you sure your maxpatches are made for monomeserial? (most patches around here are made for serialosc and thus not compatible) if not, you could put pages in between. (lol at monomecereal)

not sure, but I think nonome is based on monomeserial. serialosc is the successor with another protocol. so you need conversion from serialoscmonomeserial. Not sure if monomebridge does reverse conversion, put pages does it for sure.

If you're on a budget you might wanna consider a launchpad mini and program your apps with midi (in max). Not the same (monome talks OSC, a different protocol) But it costs 100 bucks, you can throw it in your backpack and program it in 3 or 4 …

  • MlrV presets system is buggy
Yes, but isn't this meant to be to edit m4l patches? (opposed to running them in max7) or: how will the binding to live's transport etc. react? is there a wrapper or does *nothing* happen if there is no live transport? (I guess the latter?)
