yup it's just ableton clips. i wrote an m4l patch to basically turn the monome into a midi device. i shared an older version some time ago, happy to share the newer if anyone is interested.

the mapped button brightness is adjustable to suit lighting conditions. in broad daylight though it might not be very useful. these leds don't pack as much punch as the grayscale series that's for sure..
